Piecing Our Own Quilt
Here is today's EOC Passage Analysis question. Remember, you are accountable for these daily - whether you make it to school or not! I will collect your answers every Friday (or the last day of every week.)
If you missed class today, it is your responsibility to ensure that you have all vocabulary from the English II Word Wall written down in your notes. You can keep these terms/definitions in your SpringBoard text or a (vocabulary) notebook that you bring daily.
In class, we completed page 9 in our SpringBoard text, so if you were not here, you must do that. For homework, students cut an 8.5x11 page into a square to decorate (however you like!) as a "quilt square" that represents themselves. Quilt squares are due and should be completed at the start of class on Thursday, August 22nd.
- Which statement best explains how the fairy tale reference contributes to the passage?
- A. It suggests the need to know and obey the rules.
- B. It suggests how important it is to follow the orders of others.
- C. It reinforces the idea that it is difficult to complete some tasks.
- D. It reinforces the idea that it is important to avoid failure.
