Today, students worked through the September 27th Daily Boards. If you missed class, you are responsible for all three activities and all of the notes. Please turn in 2.2 with a Late or Make Up Cover Sheet upon your return.
Today, students unpacked SpringBoard Unit 2, Embedded Assessment 1. If you missed class, please read page 55 and Mark Up The Text and the read pages 95-98 and Mark Up The Text.
Homework: Advanced English II Independent Reading Assignment Double-Entry Journals are due October 10th on Turnitin by 12:00. The following students must contact me about Unit 1, Embedded Assessment 1. You're still not finished! If I don't get pieces from you soon, I will contact parents.
If you are in the above list, you need to get in touch with me through Twitter, Edmodo, email, or stay after school on Monday, October 10th. Today, students went to the Links page at Mrs. Henson's Website to click on SpringBoard Student Access. After following the instructions on the SpringBoard Student Access document, students click the Unit Assessment assignment on the right-hand side of the computer screen. Any students who missed the class must take the test online and email me the results. (You can do this from any computer at any time!)

The writing should take you about 40 minutes from start to finish. Tomorrow, we take the SpringBoard Unit 1 Online Assessment. Today, students presented one of their two monologues to the class for their SpringBoard Unit 1, Embedded Assessment 2 grade. When students presented, they read monologues from edmodo to the class -- just one of the two -- to show how tone, diction, and syntax work together to create a strong and authentic voice. It went really well! If you missed out today, you need to stay after school with me on Monday, September 24th to present your selected monologue and get your grade for Unit 1, Embedded Assessment 2.
