Today, Mrs. Marshall and I introduced the Advanced English IIB Independent Reading Assignment. You must have a book selected for the assignment by Monday, November 26th.
Homework: SpringBoard 3.5. (Place the vocabulary words in the culture wheel.) Today, during class, students completed Mrs. Marshall's Researching with Databases handout as well as the 3.4 Research Requirements handout.
On this day, students spent class time dividing into groups in order to come up with a thesis and then three talking points for an assigned category on page 151. If you missed class today, please get notes from your group upon your return. I also took a participation grade for having your bookmark done from SpringBoard 3.3. If you weren't here, please attach your bookmark to a Late or Make-Up Work Cover Sheet upon your return and hand it to me!
On this day, Mr. Wolfe started class by collecting SpringBoard page 148. If you were not here, please turn it in upon your return with a completed Late or Make-Up Work Cover Sheet. Students spent the rest of class completing 3.3 and reading Chapter 1 of Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe. If you were not in class, you will need to check out a copy of the text from Mrs. Henson or Mr. Wolfe upon your return. Make sure that you make yourself a bookmark with the names/pronunciations on page 150!
